CC takes place around the year 2100, on an alternate-universe Earth, in which aliens and monsters live with other Earthlings. Some of these beings get along just fine, while others would prefer to see the destruction of all things, with many more somewhere in-between. It’s a mixed-bag, this world.
Curiah City itself is located in Southern California, in what used to be known-as Los Angeles (before the city was destroyed by giant lizards), right along California’s coast. The city is vast, but not too cluttered, and very clean as far as cities go. There’s an abundance of plant life growing among the buildings and street lights, with most of the city getting its power from solar panels and wind turbines. This is definitely not a bleak future, but it is in turmoil none the less.
